NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
Mansfield MP Ben Bradley, who is also leader of the county council, has been told to quit as a councillor by critics who claim he is "squatting" in County Hall.

LAMBETH
Councillors voted themselves a 32.8 percent increase to their annual allowances, just weeks after they had raised council tax by the maximum 4.99 percent.

CROYDON
While residents have seen council tax hiked by 21 percent and amid public service cuts, the government's "improvement" panel is draining resources.

PLYMOUTH
